I love vampire flicks. From Bram Stokers Dracula to From Dusk Till Dawn, I just dig em. Hell, vampires are cool. I had heard only bad things about this movie, but I have to say, as far as a fun vampire hunting story goes, it wasnt bad at all. It didnt have the Sci-fi elements of Blade, or the traditional vampire immortal walking among us of Interview with a Vampire, but it did have the same kind of quality as Desperado as far as a simple story and good action go. It really is meant as a modern B-movie, and it succeeds quite well. Lots of blood and gore, so much so you have to laugh. Some very cool shots (the vampires coming out of the ground in chapter 15, and the opening scene are both perfect examples), some very very cool characters (James Woods never kicked so much ass) and some overall good ideas. Sure, it is plagued with the overwritten plot of some black cross that makes vampires truly invulnerable, but if you chuck that, it was still a good time. The soundtrack is a mix of Mexican rock that really gives it an excellent flavor. The DVD is very well done with a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack, a 16x9 transfer, and a directors commentary. Could only ask for maybe an interview or some deleted scenes. Overall, a good modern day B movie

vampires in my eyes was one of the best new storline vampire movie there is. i thought it was way better then interview with the vampire for these reasons, james woods, and thomas where both badasses in the flick. Valek was one of the best portrayed vampire. Not the coolest that goes to decan frost, valek was the darkest strongest, and one of the scariest. So good job thomas at portraying one of the creatures of the night

I really love vampire movies and Thomas Ian Grififth did a good job in portraying as the vampire master. I want you to make a PART2 on the said movie. It's very frightening and full of suspense, I expect on seeing valek again & he really fits on that role. Thank you & I'll be waiting for the return of Valek.
